  • feeling of extreme dislike towards something or someone
  • disruptive of individual conscience and wisdom
  • fear -> individual can be trapped in cycle of negativity
  • avoid development of hatred thru desirable socialization
  • if hatred developed, one should learn to manage it

Implications

    • impacts phy + cognitive development of individual (peace of mind, happiness missing)
    • Karma philosohpy: if you spread hate, you may face backlash sooner or later eg Hitler, Mussolini, Bin Laden
  • society
    • threat to peace & harmony
    • aggravate social conflicts due to biasness (caste, religion, ethnicity) -> dilute social capital
  • national
    • goes against unity in diversity (national)
    • public cost -> lack of resource availability, reduce investment in social infra -> threaten potential of demographic dividend

    • war like situation, affects involved nations + domino effect on other nations
